Citizens have focused today on the Plaza Alta de Algeciras, with five minutes of silence, to show their revulsion against gender violence that, in so far this year, has claimed the lives of 26 women and a minor.

The mobilization, which is repeated every last Tuesday of the month, convened by the Association of Progressive Women "Victoria Kent", has had the presence of young people remain camped in the city Alta Plaza.
The president of "Victoria Kent", María Isabel García Revilla, has indicated that it shuffles the entity data suggest a decline in deaths from terrorism macho at the same date stood at 38 last year, although has stated that "one death from terror that batterers subject their victims, is a number too high" because "we speak of a social evil that should be eradicated soon".
