The president of the Andalusian Parliament, Fuensanta Coves, along with the full participation Andalusian Council of Women which met at the regional headquarters of the Chamber, the January 23, 2012.
 

 

 

 The Minister for Equality and Social Welfare, Micaela Navarro, presided yesterday at the Parliament of Andalusia, the Andalusian Council Standing Committee on the Participation of Women, which for years to address issues such as employment, training and fighting gender violence.

   During the meeting, which has also been attended by the president of the Andalusian Parliament, Fuensanta Coves, has approved the Council's Work Plan Andaluz of Participation of Women until 2015. According to this plan, the fundamental framework of the Council shall be related to employment, image and media, education and training, attention to diversity and social inclusion, gender violence and women's health .

 

This body, as reported by the Ministry for Equality and Social Welfare, has as main functions represent the interests of Andalusian women's organizations to the Board and serve as a channel for active participation in public policy from the same Andalusian and women in general, as well as promote the value of equality, to prepare reports and ensure compliance with the parity in the organs of government.
